Bloodbuzz Ohio by Julia Stone. Julia Stone, of Australian brother-sister duo Angus & Julia Stone, has struck out on her own and released her debut solo album, By The Horns. Surprisingly, Stone opens the album with a cover of one of The National’s best known and most defining songs. Admittedly, it’s quite an initial shock to hear Stone’s sweet country-folk vocals in the place of Matt Beringer’s dramatic baritone. However, on repeat listening, Stone’s lighter, gentler version of the song conveys a sense of optimism and purpose that is perhaps less evident in the original version.
